Neither Lyre nor Clarsach is the dominant personality. They're quite evenly split. That means who appears each day is entirely up to chance. I haven't quite decided what makes them switch (it'll probably be random) but when Lyre is in control, the L on Lyre's wrist lights up and when Clarsach is in control, the R on the opposite wrist lights up.

Clarsach will ALWAYS re-do his hair when he takes over.

Lyre and Clarsach are the names given to each personality of this poor boy. Lyre is a sweetheart and smiles through his worries, Clarsach is and angry and short tempered, especially when it comes to people mistreating his condition. He’s lived with multiple personality disorder his whole life and struggled with it initially. His parents had no idea how to treat him. Clarsach named himself at eight but no one would call him that, they refused to acknowledge him as a separate entity. This set him to become Lyre’s complete opposite so no one could deny him any longer.

His only childhood friend was Yulianna ( ~A-Thin-Line ) who was equally mistreated by society. Yuli understood the two were different people and found out exactly what both of them were like, being able to treat them as equals but still separate entities and knowing which one was present. Lyre and Clarsach loved Yuli for what she did for them both and did whatever they could to be the best friend they could be.

Lyre/Clarsach’s parents became concerned his condition wasn’t disappearing by age 14 and so informed a mental hospital of his state. Clarsach was forcefully taken from Yuli and put into the hospital’s care where they mentally broke him into yet another personality; Harp. Harp was a mix of both personalities but was highly unstable, breaking down into depression/anger at random intervals.
Fortunately, Malaika Osei, a music therapist at the time, took Yuli to see him and then took both of them out of the hospital. Yuli had brought Lyre and Clarsach back mentally but he was so unstable Malaika took him out of society entirely to work on his condition, leaving Yuli behind to wait for him.

After three years, Lyre/Clarsach moved to the EP house to see if he could interact with people again. It was a large success with only very mild breakdowns and only once in a blue moon. Lyre/Clarsach was recently been reunited with Yuli after all this time. She found the house and since didn’t leave Lyre/Clarsach’s side.

He also befriended Anwen ( ~Nithak ) the one legged girl and got used to her eternal optimism at her own situation. Lyre had tried to use the same ideology all his life so he was more than happy to have Anwen to talk to. Clarsach needed to hear the ideology before he was happy. They fell very much in love and their bond was strengthened through a tragic twist of fate.
Noel, a known menace visited the house and befriended Anwen. Using the information she had given about Lyre/Clarsach he used it to break him into Harp again. Anwen and Yuli both used all the strength they had to keep Harp calm and try and bring back Lyre and Clarsach. Harp fell for Yuli as a result but knew he couldn’t stay around, she needed the other two to keep her sane more than she needed him. He agreed to be sent back to sleep by Ten who used his powers to bring back Lyre and Clarsach.

Since then, both boys have been trying to work out their insecurities and though Laika have even found a father figure in Gustav. Their little family might have been a long time coming but well worth the wait.
